‘Trash the Dress’ is the latest craze to hit Britian… Brides put back on their wedding dresses for a photoshoot to get some really arty, relaxed pictures. This is a great way to get to enjoy wearing your wedding dress again, and to get the shots you mightn’t have had a chance to get on the actual wedding day. Well, I’d rather call these sessions ‘Love the Dress’ – and I have just started offering these post-wedding photoshoots to couples. The reason I call them ‘Love the Dress’ is that I still want to you have a wedding dress in good condition when you finish! For one of these photoshoots we take at least half a day, choose a handful of locations, pack some warm clothing, wellington boots, and a bottle of bubbles – and hit the road!
Louise was married to Simon almost two years ago, and decided that before she finally got her dress cleaned, she’d get a few more relaxed pictures taken – pictures she didn’t have time for on the day, and didn’t want to get in case her dress got a bit dirty. We had an ABSOLUTE BALL!!! It was so much fun!!! (and her dress was still perfect at the end of the day!) Thank you Louise for a fantastic day! Below are a few of the pictures.

I had such a wonderful afternoon at Nick and Isobel’s wedding! The wedding itself was held in Nick’s mum’s gorgeous home, it was a humanist ceremony, which was really lovely – some gorgeous readings and a really great group of Nick and Isobel’s closest family and friends. Thankfully the rain held of for long enough to get some nice photos in the gardens – although the wind was a bit of a challenge! A typical Edinburgh day – bits of rain, and lots of wind! The reception was held at the absolutely stunning Prestonfield House Hotel. I feel privileged to have been able to share in Nick and Isobel’s wedding day – thank you very much to both you and your family for making me so welcome! Congratulations on your marriage – you are a lovely couple and such a perfect fit! Here’s a sneaky peek at some of the images I captured, the rest of the images will be available online on 31st October 2009. I look forward to seeing you both soon!
