Well, first wedding back after maternity leave – I’m shattered! But what an amazing wedding! These two have been through so much in the last year, they are such a strong couple, and it was obvious to all the wedding guests that they will have a very long and happy marriage. The photos are such a mix – one minute absolutely pouring with rain, and the next gorgeous blue skies (which I found particularly exciting – we don’t get them that much in Scotland!). The service was beautiful, in a such a gorgeous setting, and the reception was great, fantastic food, fantastic band, and great speeches! The perfect day! Teresa and Duncan, your strength both individually and as a couple is inspiring, as is your obvious devotion to each other. I hope you have an amazing time on honeymoon and I look forward to seeing you both when you get back.

What a fantastic day! And what an amazing location!!! Laura and Rod’s wedding was held at Orocco Pier in South Queensferry, a gorgeous restaurant and function room with a fantastic view over the Firth of Fourth. It was a lovely ceremony, attended by Rod and Laura’s closest family and friends. And thankfully the weather held off so we were able to capture some amazing pictures of the couple along the shoreline and on the pier. Laura and Rod are a really great couple, who I’m sure are going to have a long and happy marriage. Enjoy the honeymoon guys! The rest of your pictures will be available online on 10 November. Speak to you both soon!

Mairi and Michele’s Wedding was held on Sunday 14th September at the Royal College of Physicians in Queen Street Edinburgh. What a gorgeous venue! Mairi looked absolutely beautiful – what a stunning dress!! It was a lovely ceremony in the library of the college, with fantastic singing by Mairi’s sisters! The wedding was attended by about 20 of Michele’s family from Italy, and when we left it looked as though it was going to be one heck of a party! Congratulations Mairi and Michele and thank you for allowing us to be part of your special day! The rest of the images will be available online on Tuesday 7th October.

Kate and Paul’s wedding was held on Friday at the gorgeous Lothian chambers – it was a really lovely ceremony attended by close family and friends. Kate and Paul are such a fantastic couple – it was so great to witness their marriage! I am certain they will have a long and happy life together! It was great to see the Jones sisters again, having photographed them for a family portrait last year – and to meet the rest of their family. Lunch was had at the Tower Restaurant (what a view!), and the weather held off perfectly. In the evening we were welcomed into Linda’s gorgeous home (Kate’s mum) for drinks and a fantastic dinner catered by the girls at Annabelle’s (very very very tasty food!!!). Entertainment was provided by Dusty The Magician (I love magic!!!), and when I said my goodbyes, the merriment was only getting started! Kate and Paul, I hope you had a wonderful day full of many happy memories – I wish you both the best of luck in your future together. The rest of your pictures will be posted on the website on the 6th October.

Now here are two people who are meant to be together forever! We have been looking forward to photographing this wedding since the moment we first met Sarah and Johnny – they are such a warm, happy couple – and such perfect candidates for a long and happy marriage! And what a wedding! Sarah looked amazing as she walked down the isle of the cathedral with her gorgeous dress flowing behind her – AND THE MUSIC!!! We want to buy a copy!!! Being musicians, Sarah and Johnny had a brass quintet with timpani and pipe organ playing throughout the service – it made the hairs on my arms stand on end – it was absolutely amazing!!! Not to mention both of them joining the quintet to play a hymn once they’d said their vows!!! Thank you both, Sarah and Johnny, for all the smiles! Hope you like the peek at the pictures. The rest will be available online on 26th August 2008. Enjoy your honeymoon! See you when you get back! xo

One of the best things about being a married couple photographing weddings, is that we get to watch other people making the same commitment to each other that we did – at every wedding we go to we’re reminded of the promises we made and how nice it is to be married to each other. Andrew and Sinead’s wedding was one of those truly touching weddings – Father Jim High of St Margarets in Montrose, gave such a meaningful address – thank you Andrew and Sinead, for inviting us to take part in your special day! And what a party! With a mix of Aussie, Irish and Scottish it was fantastic! Amazing food, gorgeous location, great speeches, terrific ceilidh dancing! And the piper at the end with his special presentation for the bride and groom! Wow!!!!!! Thanks again guys, we had a really fantastic time! Here’s wee peek at the photos, the rest will be available on the website on 19th June 2008 – speak to you soon!

We’ve just come back from our weekend holiday in Germany (in the sun!!!). We had such a lovely time, Rosie is at such a wonderful age – I was lying on the floor with her playing, and she rolled over to give me a cuddle – so sweet!!! She’s almost got the crawling down as well – although she looks a bit like a commando as she drags herself along the carpet with one arm and one leg! It’s quite funny! Somewhere in the last few months little Rosie has turned from a baby into the beginnings of a little girl! Still haven’t had David change a nappy yet though! It was really great to spend time with Andrew and Lucy – it’d be fantastic if we could live around the corner from each other! It’d be barbeque’s all the time I’m sure! Andrew and Lucy – thanks again for a wonderful weekend!!! Lots of love xo
